Rich men, poor men and even angels who have sought the long promised
Messiah in all ages and all times have done well to turn their thoughts
and hearts to the place where God is worshiped to see there revealed the
Lord God of all the earth in the person of Jesus Christ.  May those who
are wise seek Christ in His Church and may the God of wisdom give them
the blessing pronounced almost two thousand years ago by Simeon, who
took the Lord of the universe into "his arms and praised God, saying: 
'Sovereign Lord, as you have promised, you now dismiss your servant in
peace.  For my eyes have seen your salvation, which you have prepared in
the sight of all the people, a light for revelation to the Gentiles and
for glory to your people Israel.'"  


May the peaceful knowlege of salvation be yours in this incarnation
season in the year of our Lord One thousand, nine hundred and
ninety-seven.
Amen.
